About Woody
I’m a portrait/visual artist based in Western North Carolina. My work has been featured in various photography blogs and publications like Senior Style Guide, Shutter Magazine, and Senior Inspire. I love people, golf, craft beers, having fun and capturing perfect moments. I want to document life as it happens. You should look back at your pictures and experience all the emotions and feelings that you had in that moment. Most days, you will find me hanging out with my beautiful wife and my son. Or, you can check on the nearest golf course!
Why Forte Photography
A regular question we get is about the name. My first love was music. I’ve been playing instruments since I was 11. To this day, I still play at church when possible. When not behind the drum set, you’ll find me in the booth running sound or lights. So, when picking a name for the business over 10 years ago, incorporating something musical was a natural choice. Forte, in music, means loud. Photography should stand out and be a commanding presence in a room.

Photographs are the most versatile medium that we have to pass down our legacy. It allows us to give future generations a glimpse into the past for one moment in time.
